Michael Spradlin's Newsletter
Dear
Readers,
It’s hard to believe that summer is fast upon us. Things have
been more hectic than ever, but remember here at Team Spradlin, you,
the readers, always come first. Over the past few months, I’ve
received hundreds if not thousands of emails from readers begging me
to know what happens to Tristan, Robard and Maryam in the next Youngest
Templar adventure. Well, as a treat, here
is a little sneak peak, just
for you!
The
Youngest Templar: Trail of Fate will
go on
sale October 29, 2009. The paperback edition of The
Youngest Templar: Keeper of the Grail will go on
sale in
September 2009. Since it was published last fall, I’m very
proud to say that The Youngest Templar has become an international
sensation! It has been a best-seller in Germany, is now available
in a German audio edition and we have just sold rights to Australia
and France. It has been named to the state reading lists in Vermont,
Maine and Alabama and our fingers are crossed that more states will
roll in here as their lists are published.
I’ve had the chance
to travel the country and meet face to face with hundreds of teachers,
librarians, booksellers and most importantly young readers, and there
is nothing like seeing the joy on a young face when they describe how
much they love your book. Let me tell you, I’ve been moved to
tears on more than one occasion.
So what can you look for in The Youngest
Templar: Trail of Fate?
Well, let’s just say that Tristan and his friends find themselves
in the middle of another conflict between an oppressive king and a
small group of people who yearn for freedom. When Tristan finds himself
falling for Celia, the beautiful young leader of the Cathars, he is
torn between his duty to his knight and the Grail, and these strange
feelings she brings out in him. In the meantime, Sir Hugh is on his
trail, there are new villains to deal with and Tristan must make hard
choices to do what’s
right.
I hope you’ll find everything in The
Youngest Templar: Trail
of Fate that you enjoyed in book one. There is more
action, more suspense, and a few more clues along the way about Tristan
and his destiny. I hope you enjoy the sneak
peak and please take a
moment to pre-order
a copy! I mean if the Germans can make The Youngest Templar
a best-seller, why can’t we?
I’m just sayin’
Your authorness,
Michael P. Spradlin
