Co-sponsored by the Vermont State PTA and the Vermont Department of Libraries, the Dorothy Canfield Children’s Book Award is Vermont’s children’s choice award program. Each spring, a committee of eight carefully selects 30 books to comprise the Master List. After reading at least 5 books from the list, students in grades 4-8 then vote for their favorite titles the following spring.
